The delegation led by Mikayil Jabbarov, the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of SOCAR, who is visiting Türkiye, met with the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey, Fatih Dönmez.
The Chairman of SOCAR's Supervisory Board emphasized high-level strategic cooperation between our countries, strong friendly relations with our brother Türkiye, economic-trade and energy partnership, spoke about the projects implemented by SOCAR in Türkiye, and the contribution of Petkim wind power station to the increase of Türkiye's renewable energy potential, noted its contribution to the significant reduction of carbon emissions.
Fatih Dönmez, the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Türkiye, drew attention to the mutual friendly and brotherly relations of our countries, high-level partnership, expressed his views on the directions of further strengthening of Türkiye-Azerbaijan cooperation, and his country's participation as an investor in gas production increase projects to be implemented in Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, the possibilities of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye in energy and renewable energy fields, the expansion of SOCAR's activities in Türkiye and other issues of mutual interest were discussed.
